  113. The easiest way to insure all files are included is to use the
  114. 'Make WinWin Disk' feature of WinWin by following these steps:
  115.  
  116. step 1 - Start Windows and open WinWin.
  117.  
  118. step 2 - Click the Options button to open the options window.
  119.  
  120. step 3 - Click the 'Make WinWin Disk' button.
  121.  
  122. step 4 - Follow instructions as they appear.

  128. If you want to upload this product to your favorite BBS,
  129. on-line service or the Internet, or send it to a friend in e-mail
  130. follow the instructions above, topic #4, 'Duplication Instructions'
  131. to create a distribution disk. Then compress the files from the
  132. distribution disk created into a single file named winwin.zip
  133. (or winwin.lzh, winwin.arj, winwin.arc, for the appropriate
  134. compression type). Then upload or attach it to e-mail as a
  135. binary file.
  136.  
  137. Following is an example procedure to create a WinWin upload file
  138. (winwin.zip) in the c:\upload directory from a WinWin distribution
  139. disk in drive a: using a ZIP compression program in directory c:\zip. 
  140.  
  141. step 1 - Create a WinWin distribution disk, see 'Duplication Instructions'
  142. step 2 - Bring up the DOS Prompt from Windows or DOS
  143.          { C:\WINDOWS> }
  144. step 3 - Change default directory to c:\zip using the 'cd' command
  145.          { C:\WINDOWS>cd c:\zip }         
  146.          { C:\ZIP> }
  147. step 4 - Place the WinWin distribution disk in drive a:
  148. step 5 - Make the upload directory, if needed, using the 'md' command
  149.          { C:\ZIP>md c:\upload } 
  150. step 6 - Type 'pkzip c:\upload\winwin.zip a:\*.* -ex'
  151.          { C:\ZIP>pkzip c:\upload\winwin.zip a:\*.* -ex }
  152. step 7 - When done, type 'exit' to close the DOS Prompt if returning
  153.          to Windows.

  155. The file 'winwin.zip' will contain the entire WinWin product and is ready
  156. to upload or attach to e-mail as a binary file.

  172. To remove all WinWin specific files:
  173.  
  174. step 1 - Open File Manager.
  175.  
  176. step 2 - Select the WinWin parent directory. (i.e., c:\winwin)

  178. step 3 - Press the delete key on your keyboard.
  179.  
  180. step 4 - Answer 'Yes' and 'Yes To All' at all prompts.

  182. To remove Icons and Group window:
  183.  
  184. step 5 - Open program manager and highlight the WinWin icon.
  185.  
  186. step 6 - Press the delete key on your key board and click Yes.
  187.  
  188. step 7 - Continue by removing all icons from the Group window.
  189.  
  190. step 8 - When empty, delete the Group window by repeating step 6.

  192. To remove WinWin shared files:
  193.  
  194. Following is a list of WinWin related files in your 'windows\system'
  195. directory. These are commonly used files and may or may not have
  196. been on your system before WinWin installation. WinWin uninstall
  197. determines if a file was previously on your system and is the
  198. preferred way to remove WinWin from your system.
  199.  
  200. If you KNOW which of these files was on your system before WinWin or
  201. you KNOW if the file is used by any other application or not, then you
  202. can safely remove the unused files by deleting from the following file
  203. list:
  204.  
  205.    cmdialog.vbx
  206.    threed.vbx
  207.    vbrun300.dll
  208.  
  209. Format:
  210.  
  211. c:\<your Windows directory>\<your System directory>\<filename>.<ext>
  212.      { usually \windows\ }    { usually \system\ }
  213.  
  214. As an example, to remove file 'cmdialog.vbx', you may type in
  215. 'del c:\windows\system\cmdialog.vbx' at the DOS prompt or
  216. select this file in File Manager, press the delete key on
  217. your keyboard and click OK.
  218.  
  219. You may find that after removing a file, some less frequently
  220. used application may call on that file. If this happens
  221. you will see an error statement from your application. It
  222. may tell you which file it can't find. To recover from this
  223. problem you may create a distribution disk to archive these files
  224. prior to your deletion action. Follow the steps in the Duplication
  225. Instructions above to make the disk. Then when you reinstall WinWin
  226. you will replace all files. If you once again wish to uninstall
  227. WinWin, don't remove the required file(s) this time.
